Default AEM Gauge Issues

Hey everyone, last week I had my AEM gauges installed. All the other gauges seem to be working fine but the boost. I had assumed the boost gauge was defected due to it wouldn't illuminate correctly (very dull red, wouldn't match the other two gauges). It also would read 0 at idle. I had talked to AEM and they kindly sent back a new gauge with a return slip for the old one. As I had easily unplugged the gauge out of the back and plugged the new one in, it did illuminate correctly. But it would still read 0 at idle. So next I had changed the sensor that connects to the "T" and still reads 0. It started raining so I called it a day, but I drove the car to work today and as I was getting to leave the gauge read -6 psi. I figured it might be correcting itself, but when I stopped for coffee and restarted my car it was anywhere between -2 and 2 psi. It mostly went to 0. My car is tuned to 21.5 psi but I gave it full throttle this morning and I saw it go past 25 psi on the gauge.

I did check for leaks, just in case and checked the lines. I definately had good vacuum. Any ideas?

I need to send the old gauge back within the month or else they will charge my credit card!

Are you over-boosting? try contacting the vendor or your tuner to ask for advice on what you are seeing.

Yesterday the gauge went down to -20 and I boosted it to about 21 so I'm guessing this may be a wiring issue.
