I got tuned, and now throw random p0016 codes. There is no rhyme or reason when I get it. Sometimes it's at idle... Others it's at WOT.

P0016 is the CkPS (crank position sensor) out of range code.

I have no stuttering. The thing idles perfectly. Has no problems at high RPMs, and will stay off for up to days at a time after a reset. I replaced the ckps with a new one, and it still is happening. If it were timing it'd be stuttering. If it were a bad tone ring it'd be happening all the time.

I'm thinking that there could be a problem with the tune. Any ideas??

Have you contacted your tuner about the problem?

I have contacted the tuner. He feels like it's a hardware issue. I'm not so sure.

My engine bay mods are:
06 WRX
Ej257
CP Pistons (8.7:1 CR)
Blouch Dominator 1.5XT-R 10cm^2 hotside.
ID1000's
Perrin Fuel Rail
K&N SRI
Perrin inlet
PW TMIC
GS intake mani and runners
Invidia DP
GS manifold/cross pipe
Group N engine mounts

And I can't think of anything else important right now.

She makes 430/430 on a superflow in Denver

Let me check with the rest of our Subaru group to see if they have any ideas.

Thanks

Just found a small fuel leak. Doubt it's related, but i fixed it this morning, and we'll see if it's related.

Try logging AVCS cam advance left and right under load and see what they look like.

I will. I'm going to the track tomorrow, and that way I'll be able to get a good quality log for you
