Question 08 STI Tires Michelin or Continental

Looking to buy new tires. I have a 08 STI, live in SO CALI... I was looking at:

Michelin Pilot Super Sport @ $234/each

or

Continental Extreme Contact DWS @ $178/each.

Does anyone have personal experiences with either tire? Recommendations? Suggestions?

I DO NOT and WILL NOT track the car. Only for street and highway use.

I suggest OP includes winter tires too and ask what to pick.
One tire is summer, high performance (tirerack calls them Max Performance Summer) and the other is performance all season (Ultra High Performance All-Season in tirerack speak).

Nobody but OP can pick proper tire as nobody knows what you want to do with them.

the DWS is an all season tire while the DW is a max performance summer tire The DW seems more compatible with your geographic region

here's a link to one of our tire tests in which both the Pilot Super Sport and the Extreme Contact DW were tested
Tire Rack Max Performance tire test

be sure to check out the video link as well

If you like sidewall flex with your tires, get the Continentals.

Pilots are ideal for So. Cal. Had the Bridgestone RE11 before and can barely notice a difference.
