Thumbs down WRX made a noise similar to driving on a flat.

After getting off the highway and driving down a street at about 30-40 mph. I heard a noise similar to a flat when coming to a stop. I thought I had a flat, it was a knocking noise. I checked the tires no problem. I pulled in the parking lot of a store, while pulling in, the noise went away.

There was no visable problem. What can it be? Maybe the AC unit?

It may of been something stuck on the tires and knocking in the wheel well.

I once ran over a tennis ball, and it made a noise like that. You probably just ran over something....if everything is ok, no need to worry.

Wheel bearing failures are common on subaru's, and sometimes they sound like flats. If the sound has gone away its probably not a bearing but still something to think about.

Have there been any bearing issues on WRX's? I thought the problem was just from our RS's? I wonder if they use the same bearings....

I thought all subaru were effected, seriously. Just that some needed revisions and service bulletins becuase of very low mileage failures while others just fail at 40k or whatever.
