Default Cel P0442

I'm getting the P0442 code. I read that's associated with the fuel cap. So I tighten it, and so far nothing. I've read on a couple threads about this that a smoke test is recommended to find the small leak in a hose. Anyone know of a local shop that does the smoke test?

Thanks

Check the purge solenoid that has the three evap hoses attached to it that is attached to the front of the manifold on the passenger side of it behind the alternator.

No that's not it. I believe that is just a breather for the line IIRC.

The purge valve is on the front of the intake manifold. Like this:

its a blue T by the alternator i think. its by the oil pressure dummy. it might be cracked. happend to me on my old wrx. i kept throwing the code and couldnt figure it out i checked the gas cap, checked every gas line until i looked it up and examined it. it tends to break from the heat.

Subbie_02, Arizona Import Specialists can do the smoke test you asked for. Here is their info: 1833 East 3rd Street Tempe, AZ (623) 223-8863. I used them recently and was pleased with their job and price.
