Default CEL p2441

Hi,
my '08 STI has a code p2441, secondary air intake valve stuck closed. With the research I've done, if its stuck closed, you don't need to change it or get block off plates, you only need to delete this code. What is the best and easiest way to delete this code? Anyone with a Cobb AP or Tactrix cable that could help out?

Wow 6 of 7 post with the same question.

You'll need the block off plates to do it right. It might be stuck closed now but might be stuck open later. Once you remove the codes permanently you will never know.

Try deleting the codes I'm sure you will get one down the road the will read it's stuck open. For all you know it the valve could be stuck half closed.

Don't cheap out on such a easy fix especially when you are currently selling ur car with your 7th post.

Thanks for the suggestion. I probably will take it up to Rocket Rally and have them do it 'properly'. I was trying to avoid a $1000 bill, but I guess I have to bite the bullet on this one.

What would your choice be, Cobb or Ecu tec?

Cobb then you can flash stage 1 and have some fun with the car. It's a nice tool for scanning codes as well. You can also sell the accessport when you do decide to sell the car.

Try giving a few revs after you start the car. It worked for me. I use to get that code all the time on a cold start until I used that trick.

I hate this stupid freaking valve so damned much.

Still waiting for my block off plates to come in the mail.

I finally got tired of resetting my CEL every 1-2 days so now I just stare at the idiot lights...it's almost christmassy.

At least Lance @ Cobb Surgeline has already set me up with the new maps for my tune, they rock.
