Default Drt Sport Ebay Brake Rotors

Yesss, i bought ebay brake rotors and i am not ashamed to admit it. A shop called DRT Sport makes them. These rotors are drilled & Slotted with powder coated centers & Edges. Available in silver, black & red. I was impressed with there quality, brakes of this quality usually go for about $400+ dollars. I scored these for $188 to the door for all four corners. It seemed difficult to find the right rotors for an 06 w/ 4 pot's. This is my first experiance with them and i have to admit they are a pita. Brake rotors fit right on with no problems. I am finishing my install this week and will complete my review next weekend.

Completed the install and broke them in. Very impressed for the money i spent! Very smooth & quiet. (about as quiet as a drilled/slotted rotor gets) Highly recomended! Fade was greatly reduced.

Well good write up! Ive had good times buying off ebay and some bad, like for the good the SS autochrome top mount intercooler...for $169, no cracks or leaks...fitment was exceptional. if your happy with these rotors, good!

I just recently changed my stock rotors to Brembo's Drilled rotors front and rear. I spent almost $500 doing this upgrade, not to mention pad cost!

Just make sure to write it up if you see any wear or cracking

I can't create new threads yet, but I'm interested in these rotors. I didn't see any of them listed on ebay last night, but I did find this website: http://www.drt-sport.com/contact.php

I would assume this is the same people, right? If so, does anyone have any idea what the difference between their economy rotors and their premium rotors are? I need new rotors for my car, and the prices seem great.

The description is virtually the same between the two types. I haven't called them to ask, but I'm skeptical as they haven't returned 3 emails I've sent them.

I got a reply back from them this time:

"Premium has better grade of the metal used in the casting. Economy is lower grade.

if you want more in dept go to www.centricparts.com we use both of there economy and premium blanks."

I couldn't find anything about any 'economy' rotors on their website, so I've sent them an email now to see if I can get anything out of them about just what the difference is. If/when I get a reply out of centric parts I'll post it here.

hmmmm, i wonder if that means these are more or less the same as the StopTech rotors? (the centric site says they make those and Power Slots) I loved the StopTechs I had

From the pictures shown above, the parts would be made from ecomony blanks. StopTech and PowerSlot parts only use the Premium blanks.

This picture is the proof:

Premium blanks are coated inside and out including the entire internal vane area. Since these parts are bare on the inner surface, they cannot be made from Centric Premium parts.

these are great rotors. the ones you buy off ebay though are the economy set. if you buy off their website and get the premium ones they will run you about $240-$250 shipped and ARE GREAT! i love these rotors!

ah just went ahead and ordered a set of premiums from their website for $215 shipped. Originally ordered red, but when I called the guy said the premiums are painted black at the factory and then re-painted by them when they get orders, so they may start chipping/wearing over time. Hearing that I decided to stick with factory black

just a quick head's up in case you decide to get a colored premium set

Good to know, was going to go with red myself, but if they're going to start chipping that's no good. I'd like to know if the economies are actually any worse than the premiums as well. When they arrive, will you let us know if the areas that should be coated are for the premiums. It'd be interesting to see if they're selling the economies as premiums as well and just making a bigger profit on those.

Ordered a set of front slotted economy rotors today to replace the bent power slot rotors I currently have. I have had the power slots resurfaced and they still vibrate horrendously during braking.

I can see you have had these on your car for some time now but just wanted to let you know if you still have them installed as they are in this pic you have them on the wrong sides. Should be labeled right and left but can also tell from directional pattern. but other than that they look really good

I have been using these for a few thousand miles now and they are great. You really cant go wrong with this company and the price is sweet. I had to replace my rear rotors because they were so warped. I also put in Axxis ULT pads all around, but they are very dirty. If you are looking for new rotors you should check these out for yourself.

Sorry for the cell pics.
