Default Problem:Excessive timing retard

Guys

this a wrx 08 on a gt35 perrin kit, all out of a sudden as soon as the w/g opens, the datalogs shows a huge timing retard, were total timing is at 0 during spool making a sure/hesitation issue, this is very weird, knock tables, correction feedback is all good (factory settings) but we can still see a minus 23 correction removing all timing advance!

No signs from other troubles from avcs system or maf, I can only think of the stock knock sensor or its circuit to be the problem, or in the other hand, a rom editor problem causing this, but a few months ago the car was just fine.

I also can notice we are running open loop all time even though we have changed front o2

ave anyone had a similar issue? I couldnt find what a bad knock sensor symptom could be on the wrx.. or maybe a bad crank signal or some noise that gets the ecu into this timing mess?

cheers

DJ

can you take some logs including your MAP sensor? Have you changed to an aftermarket MAP sensor? i want to see it idle low with everything logging that would be useful. Secondly the pulling timing piece.. Sounds like your gate is really close to the transmission or motor??? if it is i would say its rubbing when the gate flips open... see that many times... Whats the AFR your Wideband is running and can we see the rom? Send me a copy and ill check it out for you to make sure it wasnt something silly.
