Default Need Help Fast Clutch Stuck To Floor

Okay so this Wednesday, August, 5th, 2012 I went to Lancaster Speedway near my house for a local car show/drag show. Its 5$ bucks to race and I wanted to take my new 2004 sti down the strip. I have never launched with any Subaru before. I didn't feel it was right. The Subaru I have now is built and I even called the previous owner and asked him if what the launch control was set at was safe to launch at. It was set to 5500 rpm.

**I raced 4 times before ever launching it and just bogged out at the line which caused a very bad time. **

So on the 5th time racing, I decided to use launch control, I let out the clutch slow after the launch, and spun the tires really good. I went pretty deep in the redline (almost 7600rpm) then as I went to shift into 2nd and I lifted my foot off the clutch slowly, the pedal stayed at the floor and I was in neutral still just revving the motor down the strip. I put the car in neutral, and pulled the clutch pedal with my hand, it popped out, but it felt very soft. As I was rolling I put it in second again to see if it would go into gear and it would grind real bad as I'm pulling off the clutch.

I pulled over, turned the car off and starting swearing like a sailor. Every word in the book. i started it back up, and just rolled out of first and u can hear the clutch isn't sounding right and a real bad grind only when i shift.

I decided to drive it in the raceway parking lot, and noticed if i rev match when up-shifting, and not using the clutch at all, it would not grind at all. I would not go past 3000 rpm, and the gear lines up itself, and sucks into gear. Same goes for down-shifting, if i don't use the clutch at all and rev match down-shifting, it drives better than when I was using the clutch! O.o

It only make the noise when I am at a stop, and put it in 1st to get the car rolling, it seems like it skips/slips then once I'm moving the noise is gone and I then drive the car clutch-less, with the rev match technique.

So what I am asking is if anyone has any ideas what this could be. LET ME KNOW! I need my car back and I'm hoping I don't need to spend a 1,000$ (hoping its just my slave cylinder or clutch fork or clutch disk)

Here's whats done to the car mods wise: CAR MAKES 466WHP/401WTQ @ 22PSI

Hmm so can you actually actuate the clutch by hand or does it behave as if the clutch is permanently engaged? Based on your description it sounds like the fork may be busted. I would say return spring, but then you'd be able to actuate it by hand. Sounds like something it shot, may as well just crack the thing open now.

i can make my pedal suck to the floor every time if i push the slave cylinder (while the cars on), with my hand i push the fork to push the piston inside the slave cylinder all the way, and then i quickly go to my clutch pedal and just tap it and the clutch pedal gets sucked in to the floor.

would this be a bad slave cylinder?

bleed the clutch, remember you will have to remove the slave and hold it above the master in order to bleed all of the air out.

To confirm and update, it was the clutch disk and pressure plate that got so hot it melted some chunks of disk and they hardened on the pressure plate so there wasnt an even surface to the disk/pressure plate.

Even your links don't work. You need a different website to host such as photobucket or imgur.

Im surprised the clutch went and just melted, and not my rear diff/axles or something else. She is running great now, I have a new motor setup with only 2400~ miles as well, on a low boost tune for break in.
