2x3" frame rails are in place...The wrx cross members will bolt in the stock locations, just like factory.

there was a lot of grease and oil on the front cross member, but only on the passenger side for some reason...It cleaned up easily using a bit of brake clean, and some elbow grease....finally i got the holes drilled, and bolted everything up. after that, since it's all sitting up level on blocks, i started removing the bracing that was used to hold the suspension in position...

You're probably going to have the best handling Nissan Hardbody in the world.

Most people just buy a car not build one, lol...what is your background, clearly its something mechanical. Are you worried about the "truck" not tracking right, how are squaring all of this and checking the geometry?

ESP---this hardbody should handle just fine maybe a new record??

suby723---the transmission was already orange when i got it, and will probably stay that way, unless i find out it's toast.

got the trans cross member and the driveshaft support tacked in.

MOCKED IN THE DASH!! it measures some 54" wide just like the nissan, so it's just a matter of changing the contour for the windshield...getting excited now.

going to send out the block halves for machine work, and have the crank polished tomorrow.

Oh ****, you're doing the WRX dash and other interior bits?! Please put the WRX seats in. How about a WRX seat for the driver and 2/3 bench for the others!

You're nuts in a good way!!

Haha K thats good, I was hoping you didnt take a spray can to the transmission. Damn the person that had the car before you must have been a dumb ass. For him to paint the transmission probably ment it needed a new clutch before 55k thats horrible! Hopefully that transmission is good. Let me know if you will need a new transmission btw.. I have one laying around that has a bad front diff but the gear box is perfect.
