Default New age STi intercooler to EJ20K

I need to find a replacement intercooler for my EJ20K as I no longer have the stock one that came with the motor.

I know the IACV is the biggest problem since its on the way of the USDM Sti's BOV.

Anyone sucessfully put a USDM Sti intercooler into a EJ20K? If so, PLEASE elaborate.

I have heard you will only need to extend the IC to TB coupler to make room for the bov and extend the y-pipe.

Or are there other aftermarket or even ebay TMIC that I can put in?
(I am not going to spend 2000 bucks for a syms/ k-one unit )

Please~~ let me know
Thanks

Cut the BOV tube elbow off the old IC and have it TIG welded onto the new IC. Done and done.

ya...thats one way of doing it, but:
1. I no longer have the old IC
2. not really comfortable cutting and welding it

I am hoping there's an easier way
