Default 2L - 6 speed swap guys please chime in

I can't find an exact answer.

I need to order a clutch/flywheel/pressure plate combo for my 03' bugeye 6speed swap. Looking at the actual STi exedy stock kit but I need to know the following:

Will the STi flywheel(230mm?) clear the 'bellhousing border' along the WRX (03') 2L engine? Looks so tight as is with the stock flywheel on.

I've read threads where you've had to grind the bell housing down - but no clarification on if thats the transmission bellhousing or engine...

I'm doing a 6 speed swap so I need to figure out options, if not I really...really do not want to grind the motor as I'm going to be selling it eventually for funding of a 2.5L swap.

thanks for any input

Use the clutch and flywheel to match the trans. It will bolt to any EJ engine.

If you use an OEM STi flywheel and clutch, with a 5 speed. You have to grind the heck out of the bell housing of the trans...

So if you are using a 2.0 and a 6sp. Use the 6sp clutch.

5 speed clutch on a 6 speed box with a 2.0 engine works too.
