The obdii parameters are essentially items that you data log, not something that you tune. Keep in mind that I was giving the multitude of different ways that a dealership could try to determine if you had a reflash done or not, but it is not something they typically do. Generally speaking, a stage 1 reflash is not going to be that big of a deal to most dealerships that they would actively seek for evidence of it. But, there's no way we can make any kind of guarantee about this (no company can). After all, the dealership can deny a warranty claim for any reason, regardless of whether they are right or wrong or whether it is fair or not. They can even deny a claim on a completely bone stock car if they suspect the car has been abused, for example. Ultimately, if you want to modify your car, but decrease the chances of warranty issues, your best bet (besides waiting until after the warranty expires) would be to check with local enthusiasts in your area to see which dealerships are more mod friendly than others. There are always some dealerships that are more mod friendly while others will try to find any excuse to deny a warranty claim, regardless of how ridiculous it may be.

In for updates. I too own a 2013 STi, and live 3 hours from Austin. Talking to Austin Cobb several weeks ago, they said they had all the cars they needed for testing. I own a Cobb AP, and await anxiously for a release.

Thank you for being active in the STi community Bill.

Bill,

Please just keep us informed about the progress on the 2013. We (well at least I do) appreciate all the hard work that Cobb is doing.

For sure. I must admit that open source is gaining ground in my consideration. I REALLY hope the AP has 2013 support soon. I'm almost at 1000 miles, and will probably drive it stock until 3000. I hope that COBB has their offering ready by then.

To that end, what are the functionality benefits of the COBB AP above and beyond Tactrix/laptop and the Torqued Performance maps. (I say TP b/c of the purely positive feedback everyone seems to give them). I intend to purchase the TP maps anyway, fwiw...

I agree. It'd be nice to know an estimated time. i realize they can't always give exacts, but to know if they're hoping for a given month would be nice. Open source is also gaining ground while I wait without any idea on AP time. What if it's not until may?! Oh hell...

Sometime late next month (December) would be the best guesstimate at this point for the release of 2013 ECU support for the AccessPORT. No guarantee as unexpected things can come up, but that is a reasonable estimate at this time.

Also, I'm told that if the potential release gets too close to xmas holiday, we will likely delay the release until January to avoid throwing something in the wild with no one at our headquarters to offer customer support. If it looks like that might happen or if things get delayed where it will definitely be beyond December, then I'll update this thread as soon as I know.

There will be new threads started in this sub-forum, the cobbforums, and other major Subaru forums to announce 2013 support when it is released. If I find out that it won't be released before the end of December, I'll update this thread in particular.

I dont know exactly how group buys work but I am thinking we could get one going.

There has got to be dozens or more here waiting for this release.

BTW I too just rolled over 500 miles on my 2013 WRX today and cannot wait much longer for this release.
