Default Intake compatability

Real quick question, wonder if anyone knows off the top of their head.

Does a later year N/A Impreza [stock] intake it on an old RS? Don't know if they changed the design...

I'm having one heck of a time "going back to stock" for my ole girl.

Thanks folks.

Depends if it's MAF based or MAP based EFI system. Also, in 05 (I think!) the n/a ecu changed to 32 bit from 16 bit. Not sure if the sensors from one are compatible with the other. I would assume most are not.
A junk yard is a good place to find parts like intake ducting, brackets, etc. You will pay a ton at the dealer for the whole shebang.

Ah forgot about that. It would be MAP (me) going to MAF. Granted it would just be extra crap blocking the intake stream.

Yea for shts and giggles I looked at the dealer prices and got a good laugh out of that. I was trying to go the forum route before venturing to the junk yards.

Thanks for the prompt response Race!

Can anyone speak for the actual duct routing and bracket locations?
