Default 03wrx motor in 04 P1491 pcv problem

Hey guys, I recently installed a 03 wrx motor into a 04 wrx. I immediately got a p1491 code for pcv blowby sensor.
The 04 has a different pcv system that the new 03 motor isn't equipped with leaving the ecu confused. Are there any fixes to this problem that would get rid of my CEL? Thanks.

No, I did a complete swap. I believe if I swap motor wiring harnesses and jump or use a resistor on the Pcv I should be all set. If not I'll have to source a 04 turbo inlet (my 04 came with a Perrin inlet) and install that along with the 04 manifold. Everything runs mint as is, but I did the swap to sell the car, and no one wants a CEl forever. Thanks for the reply

yes you can use the inlet if you still have the sensor.
I have an 03 WRX inlet on my car, 04WRX ecu, I put a resistor in the harness.. reads the constant so no CEL... I hope.

he installed an 03 motor in my 04 wrx. i think he did a straight install. didn't use any parts at all from my 04...

The PCV connector has a shorting connection on the Hose connection. Grab the terminals off the old inlet connector with pliers and removing the shorting bar. You could swap the old engine harness on the new (03) harness and just plug this shorting bar into the connector. DONE! Otherwise you will have to locate the wires for this connector in the main harness and short them together.
