Default End of summer slam 2002: Sept 28-29

OK... since it's been such an overwhelming success on Memorial day, I'm going to be organizing a weekend for us as my last contribution this year for the MWSOC.

So if I'm doing this... I'm doing this right....

Saturday 9/28:

Event A
2PM - Luncheon at:
Mongolian Stir Fry (847) 882-7268
16 E Golf Rd # C, Schaumburg, IL

Event B
4PM - Cocktails and racing/games at:
Dave & Buster's Inc (630) 543-5151
1155 N Swift Rd, Addison, IL 60101

Event C
6:30PM - Registration MWSOC fall scavenger hunt #2
Quote:
OK...

To make this interesting... this was originally going to be a $10 per car, winner take all.

8-ball and I have been pouring over this list and I think if we even stopped RIGHT NOW, some of you will look at this list and just freak.... so..

Times: 7PM till 1AM
Registration begins at 6:30 and will continue throughout the night. You can join at any time, but obviously it'll be to your advantage to be there earlier.

So... what I want to know are TEAMS that will be doing this.

I'd like you to post here the car, driver, and team mates. Feel free to psych yourselves out

Here's a repost of the rules from a prior thread:

Quote:
1: SUBIES ONLY.... so wagons will help out a lot here..

2: the list will ONLY be known to Nick and I... through all good intention it's hard to keep a secret sometimes!

3: ONE TOOL ONLY (your on your honor.... yes... a leatherman counts as one tool)

4: Disposal/return of all items are the car team responsability! There will be NOTHING left behind at home base.

5: Keep it safe folk.. there will be enough "incentives" to haul ass.... but in the end, the "Wheel Men/Women" are ultimately responsible for their passengers... please don't turn this into the saturday night scooby massacre on the Saturday night news!

6: NO money can be spent in aquiring any of these items.... you have to swindle, extort, bribe, or steal everything on the lists.

7: Each team will have a minimum of 2 people. A "Wheel Man" and a "Boost" (if you don't know these terms....)

8: The game will start at 8PM CST and will continue until 1AM CST SHARP!

9: Team mates must, ALWAYS, be together at all times.

10: Have a camcorder. (this should be a NON issue in this day and age) (important)

11: The "Boost" will be required to keep the time. At 6:50PM all lists will be distributed, all cars will be lined up in stalls and when I say go (all "Boosts" whould be watching me) I will start my chronograph, 300 minutes later I will stop that chronograph.

Optional: have a Nextel... that way you can buzz me on the Direct-Connect network in case you have a question throughout the night. Motorola Talkabouts welcome as well - the more the merrier as you guys can psych each other out with them as well.

EDIT: there will be some really easy and obvious things that everyone can get... but there will be some things that are VERY rare to come by in very limited quantity... it's up to you to scan the list and prioritize what you want to do...

There will be a fair amount of legally obtainable items, but HARD to come by "tasks", and "questionable" easier to come by tasks

Event D
Sunday 9/29:
12:00 PM-whenever
MWSOC- End of summer slam barbeque
Location: Wheeler park in Geneva IL.
http://www.genevaparks.org/allparks/park44.html

Hot dogs, burgers, and pop will be covered by me (judging the turnout) but if ya'll want any sort of specifics bring it and I'll cook it up.

Wheeler Park is huge, and would cover us just fine.. big fields, good parking, gazebo canopies, grills, etc...

We can hang out, get the frisbies, cook, and BS.

BYOB, be responsible and let's have fun.

[Mr. Burns]Excellent.[/Mr. Burns]

Most likely, will be BCD... last time I had MSF, it didn't agree with my stomach... it should be ok by now, but I'm still rather weary.

Uhhhhh, dude. It sounds like you need to get a little sumpin' sumpin' or bust out one of the more "risque" magazines at home or something.

Anyhoo, I gotta find out if I'm doing anything that weekend. If I'm free I will let'ya'know which I'll be at.

Ahem! THAT, sir, is USGP weekend, so you know where I'll be, sporting my Makinen replica driver's jacket as a wee burst of blue amid the fields of Ferrari red.
