Subaru dealership calling me from my craigslist ad bump. Getting appraised tomorrow. I told them $25500 firm or I'm driving it back home. He said that sounds like a fair price depending on condition and to bring it in. Since my car is in absolute perfect condition, I have a good feeling they'll take it off my hands. They'll probably sell it for $28000 or more to someone desperate but I'll get over it. With the car this close to being sold, 80% of me is saying "just keep it". I was thinking that If i kept it and only drove it once a month or so, it could probably still sale for $25000 2 years from now when the little 2.0L WRXs are all that is available new. I can see myself buying a used 2012 or 2013 in a couple years and at that point, I would have been better off if I just kept this one. I will probably never forgive myself when this car is gone

Bump.
Dealer offered 24,200 and said they would sell it for $28,000. I'm holding off on that offer for now.

I was going to say, I can't even see a dealer giving you invoice for the car. If you can comfortably afford it I'd just keep it man.

Just bought a used wrx from a dealership but having some major issues. Might see if they'll take it back considering some of the issues I'm having is making it seem like they lied to me. If that works out I'll be in contact with you.

Unhappy

No one wants your over priced car man. Sell to the hunk to the stealership or carmax. Then go buy a ford.

A dealership in the Bay Area I checked out just to see what they have on their lot were marking up brand new WRXs by $4000 ! Insane. I went back 2 weeks later or so , they were all gone. Bump for you OP.

That's what I've been trying to explain to people. Finally someone is backing me up on this.

I wish I took some photos but didn't. I was shocked honestly by their markup. There was a black 2012 wrx hatch premium with a bunch of accessories added from factory with an MSRP of $29,xxx plus $4000 mark up.

^ Yeah, the worst part is that if you called them and asked how much, they'd be dishonest just to get you in there then try to hit you with the mark-up. It happened to me in Sacramento before I bought my car. What is even crazier, imho, is that used WRXs are selling for 2 to 4 thousand more than they originally cost new.

It's almost an investment to buy one of these cars. In two years from now, I think my car (if kept in perfect condition adding little miles) would still be able to be sold for my asking price or more. This body style will be more sought after than the next generation coming in 2014.

Since I first listed my car for sale (6 weeks ago) the Kelly Blue Book values on a 2011 WRX (remember they don't have values for 2012s yet) have INCREASED twice for a total of about 900$. How's that for depreciation?
