It says that it's a CCR event, but there's no place to pre-register and no place to get more info... Does anyone know if this event is still on?? ZMax is a great location and I really want to hit one more Autocross with everyone up here in NC to celebrate my return to "the north"

Sounds good. I guess I've just been used to registration being open ATLEAST a month in advance. No worries though, as long as its still on I'm good

Who's planning on going to this? Seems like there really hasn't been much of a Subaru presence at Autocrosses recently... Hope I'm proven wrong

Sure, come watch - it's free to watch... Not as fun, but you can get some rides with people if they aren't too serious about times or something

I'll be there with my BRZ! We could always use more Suby's, but I think the CCR region has a decent showing for most events.

And Carver, you should definitely come out and watch. It's not super exciting to watch from track-side, but you shouldn't have any problems getting some rides with people. Just come to the site and look for anyone that's wearing a red "Event Staff" type cap. Tell them that you're new to AutoX and are interested in getting some ride-alongs. They will happily hook you up with a helmet and some people to ride with. No cost required!

I'd probably go to one of those if the car was ready and if I didn't have such a busy few weeks ahead of me... Really the 10th of Nov is the soonest event I'll be able to make

Nice jprice, it'll be good to see a BRZ out there... I'd love to nab a ride in it if possible. Everyone keeps going on about how well they handle and I have yet to experience it for myself. Personally have always leaned alittle closer to an S2000 for the cost and category of car... Can you win me back over to Subaru in the BRZ?

Sure thing! I'll be running in C-Stock, so just look for a dark grey BRZ when the stock classes are running and hop in. The S2000 is still a faster car for AutoX, but it's also classed slightly higher, so I don't have to compete against them. I mostly have to worry about RX-8s, 350/370Zs, and Soltices (N/A version) and I think it stacks up very well against those cars. Anyway, I can't guarantee that my driving will be very convincing, but the car is definitely a lot of fun to AutoX and handles very well. See you there!

THIS! There is one on Nov 10th, but they don't like to have more than one registration open at a time, and since we have an event on Oct 28th.... it's the only one right now. I'll see if I can make AJ at least post an informational thread about it even if there's no registration available yet... and I'll look on FB for the event and invite you.

I seem to recall you being rather young, so as long as you're over 18, you just come out, sign the waiver, get your wristband, and you're set. They do allow passengers at CCR events, so you can watch or if you can convince someone to let you, you can ride along as well.

Edit: Okay, here's the deal.... insurance companies and bureaucracy blah blah blah.... you DO need parental signatures to get in. Either:

A) Have parents come to the event with you and sign the waivers at the gate
or
B) print off the minor waiver (IN COLOR!) and have it notarized to bring with you. http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...inorwaiver.pdf

The form, if I recall correctly, does have to be printed in color (hooray bureaucracy) and will require BOTH parents signatures for either the on-site or notarized version, unless someone has sole custody. I know it sucks since all you want to do is watch, and ZMax does have GREAT spectator areas that are far enough away from the action, but thanks to insurance regulations we can't say anything is a "spectator event" or allow anyone on site at all without the insurance waiver Sorry, dude... but hopefully you'll be able to make it.
