Default closed/open loop switch

I have been trying to get my car tuned recently and have been having a hard time. While driving under normal cruising conditions with partial throttle the car is randomly switching back and forth from closed to open loop fueling. I recently replaced the MAP sensor and the problem still persists. I'm working with a pretty reputable tuner and he has had no luck playing around with the tables. Anybody else had this problem or have any insight.

Would throttle position effect the transition for open/closed loop? If so, I'd check that the TPS is reading and functioning correctly.

Tps maf map coolant temp and intake temp can all affect cl/ol. Log all of them for a drive when it's switching back n forth and see if any are going out of range

looking over my log I think its when I pressing the clutch to change gears the car goes into open loop. haven't had any CEL's pop up either.

Of course it does, the ECU switches to open loop every time you release the throttle and the injectors turn off. How "reputable" can your tuner possibly be if he doesn't know this?
