Neither of these guys are stupid, but they are in the business of making themselves money. Once you accept that neither of them are "news" people it makes everything much easier to stomach. O'Reilly can be quite entertaining after a few drinks. Stewart I actually enjoy only because he is more low key in his approach.

I think it's going to depend on which persona O'Reilly decides to wear that day. He's a psychopath on his show, but I also saw him on a special a few years ago where he was talking to a group of college students and fielding questions, and he can be surprisingly rational and sounds pretty intelligent when he wants to. That persona doesn't sell ratings the same way as the ranting lunatic, though, so he knows which one to play most of the time.

Those two books are meant to be historical examinations of those president's assassinations.

I was able to watch it streaming at around midnight last night. It stumbled a few times but not bad. Up until midnight it appeared they were trying to fix a server issue. Maybe the servers broke again after that.

It was wonderful, though, a great show. I liked when Stewart brought up Levittown.

As expected, both were far more normal. Like I said, O'Reilly isn't stupid, but his "character" on Fox is designed to bring in viewers and money. He is still probably one of the smartest people on the Republican side.

Are Conservatives really still that fired up about Sandra Fluke? Every time that O'Reilly brought her up as an example of the entitlement generation it made me think less of his arguments in general.

O'Reilly just likes to beat a dead horse. That, and I think that is being kept as a major issue not so much about birth control but "religious freedom" and anti-abortion group mentality.

I disagree. When the Dems do something ridiculous he's just as likely to jump their isht as he is when the right does it, maybe even more so. Is he a liberal? hell yes, but he's just as likely to call out absurdity no matter which side of the aisle it occurs on.

Polar opposite? You're retarded. Stewart is as much of a radical as Obama is - which is to say, not at all.

I am predicting nothing sinister, but you do miss the point, the books are less about the history of the assassinations as they are about the subsequent dismantling of their legacies as president.

I have worked with them (NSA) before, so I was already on said watch list, also I discus in email Nuclear weapons proliferation and production and reactor design, none of it rated secret in any way but it can be very technical, with a friend on average a couple times a year and usually include a note or a wave for the NSA employee forced to read it for no good reason. All part of being a physicist that used to work in military intelligence. meh.

Edit: Good debate, I think John crushed him on many points but Bill'O was more reasonable on a number of things than I expected and I think that he actually believes what he said.
