Keep an eye out for seasonal sales they have. You may be able to score a deal on it like I did. Suffice to say it was considerably less than $1600.

1600 is their msrp price just like any other company website, they list the msrp price not the price they sell it for. Pm them or pm fredbeans on this forum its a considerably cheaper.

I'm trying to decide between this and the Grip and I know I want the louder of the two. Just wondering if you have heard the Grip in person and what your overall opinion of the DT-S is

Looks and sounds amazing. Looks like quality work in the design as well. I just can't justify the additional 29 lbs.

DT-S is louder and deeper

During their seasonal sales, they will often mark their products 20% off or more depending.

29 lbs in a 3400lb car turns out to be a theoretical 3hp loss. Unless you are looking for a .01s faster time at the track, I'd say you are safe with the added weight. Just my opinion

Do you know what makes the DT-S louder? I thought the hemholz(sp) thing was supposed to silence the resonant noise in the cabin. My experience with the GR sedans isn't an exhaust volume issue but the drone you get with them. Is the DT-s just louder outside of the car because of the silencing ability, or just overall?

Nothing sounded so nice as the 2.0 boxer (imo).
