Foglights come in tomorrow I want to throw some decent bulbs in it before I put them in just to kill two birds with one stone.
Thinking I'm gonna go with yellow ones, how can I make them brighter?

Heard something about putting a 9012 or something in there?

Any help appreciated

What for? In all honesty they're purely decorative, no matter the bulb. You're better off upgrating your main headlamps, H9 in lows and HIR 9011 in highs.

I actually rewired the DRLs so that fogs are lit instead of low-voltage high beams (which fries your bulb). At least my fogs now are somewhat useful

9012 refers to the HIR version of 9006 bulb. Google HIR and read up on the technology. I can confirm that the 9011/9012 are brighter than their 9005/9006 counterparts (i've used them in my dad's '99 Rx300 and '06 Odyssey). What I advise you to do is do what I did: there has always been the 9005 mod to fit in a 9006 socket, and you can do the same and put a 9011 into a 9006 socket.

I have run 9005/9011 bulbs in my 2010 fog lights for a year and a half now with no issues. I even have the passenger side harness extended because of some piping issues, and I still haven't had issues. Yes they're purely decorative, and there's nothing wrong with having a stronger looking beam pattern on the ground to make a nice aggressive nighttime look

Thank you! That's what I'm looking for! The 9011 mod is a
Clipped down top and shaved down studs on the inside correct? Gonna go yellow I think what's your recommended bulb?!
Really appreciate the input!

9012 for fogs, 9011 for high beams. Minor top tab trimming is required. There are no yellow HIRs though, you'd have to use a film on the fog light.

Luminosit gains are very siginificant - a 9006 emits 1000 lumens, while a 9012 throws 1850. For the 9005/9011 swap you're moving from 1750 to 2350 lumens per bulb IIRC.

I've never seen yellow HIRs. Here's the website where I buy my HIRs: http://www.hirheadlights.com/. Daniel Stern's http://store.candlepower.com/hirlighting.html also has them, but usually they're a little more expensive in the end due to shipping.
