Not trying to "flex" anything, merely stating that a pro tuned stage 2 doesn't fit in this thread - if so it would include 90% of this forum.

No offense, but I have to agree with scooby4life. When I first read your post, all I thought was there is no way in hell you're making 450whp. You didn't list any turbo in your aftermarket parts list which usually means STOCK turbo... hence the stage 2 reference by him. An aftermarket turbo is a pretty damn important part to just leave out of a mod list.

Ok I'll give you that I did leave out the turbo my bad as I didn't notice that bit till you said it. But as I stated I left many things off as I'm trying to identify brands and what not having just purchased the vehicle and all.

So we will put it to rest

I do think I'm running closer to in between 400-450 after tracking the car to be honest, and the 450 was a estimate by the seller

I also thought you had a stock turbo based on your original post. It really seems like you have no idea what you're talking about. What did you run at the track?

What are you trapping? 500whp would put you in the 130s.

The difference between 400 and 450 is HUGE. Like not even in the same ballpark big. And if the seller said 450, I would bet on 350. If that.

Not saying you only make 350. Just saying sellers are usually marking it up 100whp

I saw a guy selling a "400whp" STI once

It was an STI with an "upgraded turbo" (it was a td05-16G 7cm, which is somewhere between ever so slightly SMALLER and exactly the same as stock) running 19PSI, with an EBAY fmic, an HKS downpipe and a generic catback, and a $50 mail order reflash.

No boost gauge. Not sure how he knew it was making 19PSI.

with ZERO launch (like a stoplight roll away) and taking it easy while shifting (stock axles, stock rear diff, and 225 width Hankook V12's ) the car trapped 127mph...this is with a weight of about 3400lbs with me in it...

...so yeah, it would probably trap 130's with a little effort. i honestly wish i would have gotten the upgraded axles and rear diff in there before the drag strip. would have really liked to have felt how ridiculous this thing is with launch control and actually trying to get a decent ET.

IMO it all depends on who does your work + tune, as obviously those are extremely vital to the longevity of your motor since everything should be close to perfectly balanced. Everyone has their opinions and ideas on what the best way a motor should be built, however I always believe specialized Subaru techs and shops should do the work. I spent one month researching what shop to invest in for my motor build and even towed my car 3 1/2 hours to Maryland. One year and 12k+ miles, absolutely no issues and glad I spent every penny there - IAG Performance!

Oh I understand it's a big gap an that's why I took it to the track to get a little better idea as I can't get it tuned by my guy till December as that's when the awd dyno gets installed in the area he works. So I look forward to having it tuned by a professional I trust and finding out some exact numbers.

I'll have to post my track slips I can't remember my best time it wasnt great I missed shifts every pass with a bad throwout bearing and potentially clutch issues,I should get the car back wed it's having the tranny pulled this week and all the slips are in the car.
