Default Fitting wheels under silly wagon guards

Hey guys,

I drive a MY05 wagon and I'm looking into a set of rota DPTs, as I've previously had trouble with what I can fit under the guards I thought I'd post here before i make another f**k up.

I'm not running coilovers, and most likely wont ever be, and if possible I would love to make these fit with minimal modifications.

The most narrow 17" rota DPT is 8" with an offset of +48 OR +44 depending on who I buy from. (+48 is more likely to fit but doesn't come in the right color, +44 is less likely to fit but comes in the color i want and $100 cheaper!)

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me from experience or not, whether these 17x8 +48 or +44 wheels will fit under the 05 wagon guards. I understand I'll probably have to stretch the tyres a little which I can deal with.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers! Tom

No stretched tires needed with a +48.

235/40 or 225/45. Done.

Okay thanks.

The way its looking though I really want the wheels in the right color so ill probably end up with +44.

Is the 4mm difference going to be for better or worse?

Might need camber bolts in back for the 235/40's

Just got back from a mates house after trying on his 18x8 +45 braids with 235 semis on them. they fit but the fronts poked out a tiny bit, as i can imagine would be a little different with 225 or 215s. May do camber bolts too though
