Default Closed Cell Foam inner and outer door panel?

Started my sound deadening project. Went with Raamat, ensonlite and luxury liner pro. Just have a quick question... Would it be okay to also add closed cell foam (ensolite) to outer door skin as well as the inner? Overkill? Would it hurt my mid-bass response? Pros & cons, please.

I've already covered 40-50% of outer door skins w/Raamat and I'm just wondering before I seal it the access holes. Thanks in advance.

well, you are modifying the airspace that the cone will be vibrating against, but how much of an effect it oculd have depends on too many variables to tell for certain..

and the variables may be too low compared to other factors to even notice.

do you have any measuring tools? if not, I'd suggest you just take the time to do one door with foam, and close the other one up as is. compare and decide. ^_^

I think it will help with high frequency buzz and rattle. I also think it will reduce road noise a bit too which is always good. I am quite sure the pros outweigh the cons.

I have done all my cars this way, ensolite on both inner and outer skins.

Just make sure to cut it about an inch short from the bottom of the outskin...you don't want it to cover the drain holes for the door.
