Default Getting into test mode?

I have an unmarried Accessport V2 for my 02 WRX and I have both green test mode connectors plugged in on the drivers and passenger side. Also have the blue init connector plugged into the car.

The accessport is plugged in and when I select a map (stage 2, as I have a turboback exhaust on the car) to load, it says "plug in green test mode connectors" although everything is connected and seems to be fine the accessport isn't reading test mode.

Also I can't hear the fans cycling or CEL blinking. Emailed Cobb currently waiting for a response. Any suggestions to force the car into test mode?

here is the trick, when you plug those test connectors in, you have about 1 second to turn the key. not turning the car over to start it, but just turn your accessories on. its tricky with the 02-03 cars but it can be done, and once you figure it out its easy. remember to be quick or it wont work.

you will know when its good when you hear the fans turn on and off over and over. hope this helps man.

good luck man! PM me or email me for quicker response. my knowledge on this comes from a few years of open source tuning on my own 02 wrx.

Found the problem. Previous owner had wired a switch to the green connectors for test mode. I found the switch under the dash and flipped it. Flashed stage 2.
