I should mention my wrx is lowered a tad on some springs. But hearing that is a HUGE relief. How much clearance will i have with a 235/40 with a +53 offset compared to a 215/45. Cost would be a bit more too eh?

cost depends on the tires you are looking at.
235/40 will still have plenty of room on that wheel. throw them on and go. |

After calling around and checking prices it seems the 235/40 is not readily available in multiple price points and brands in my neck of the woods. 225/45 and 215/45 Are. The 215/45 is as close to stock diameter I can get. Again, my sedan is lowered on springs, nothing crazy but noticeable. Are 215/45's going to look odd or skinny on the 8" wide wheels?
Will the 225/45 clear? The wagon guys say they can run them lowered but none do it with a 8" wheel... The vehicle is a daily driver |

225/45 is 225/45 whether its on a 7" wheel or 10" wheel. it still takes up the same width. and wagon fitments are irrelevant for your sedan.
id go for the 225/45. |
