hey i ripped apart my stock shift knob to make me buy a new one.

well im ordering this http://www.ebay.com/itm/230858429448...84.m1423.l2649

but i want a knob to look like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/271072779331...84.m1423.l2649

well mainly the spring part.

or i was thinking of heading down to home depo and getting a long rod and bending it to look like a light bulb http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl...w=1093&bih=471

but the bottom of the bulb look alike is going to have the nut to hold the knob in place.

what yall think?

Knobs that looks cool are usually uncomfortable to use.
Like my little sword shifter:

I never use it except as a temp knob now.

I'm sure those are uncomfortable to use. Unless you have it custom made based on a personal mold, then getting a handle on it should be second nature.

On a separate note, Is there a shift knob that stays dry in cold mornings? This might be a weird question, but I feel like the knob gets wet and sometimes my hand slips off when shifting in cold mornings. Leather, possibly?
