Yes a 2014 FXT. I'm in Canada so the details would be irrelevant for you guys since prices are so much different and equipment levels aren't the same. But like I said it's less than a 2013 Impreza LTD would be to lease so maybe that gives you some idea if you compare to what the impreza would be to lease in USA??

DGM is an excellent compromise, but after owning it twice already (the first time was the 2008 Forester), I'd want to switch it up a bit. Oh well. It's not like I'm seriously considering this Forester anyways. I'm still single and having fun with my BRZ. I'd totally give this new Forester a chance if I had a family, though.

You need to enjoy your new Foester doubly, on my behalf! haha

And I will lump those issues with whatever I like. ;D I'm just saying to the customer you can try to say it using different more softer words but the image of "brand reliability" is always there. The majority of them are aren't savvy with how or why it's happening and it doesn't matter to them. It's how it affects them that they care about.

Justy, it's not just the curb... It's up inclines. Regardless, it's not a matter of who would ever do that, it's a matter of why can't it do that if ever needed to? That's like buying a Toyota RAV4 and trying to use the AWD but then realizing it's crap because Toyota couldn't care less for AWD that actually does something productive when the driver needs it the most.

Sorry but dealers are not always the first place people go to in order to complain. They surely do come there to get it fixed under warranty but your workplace is definitely not always the first to hear about these issues.

Up inclines? I call B.S. I have backed an Outback up a 35 degree incline with no problem what-so-ever. Just like you say that our dealer isn't the basis to how bad a problem is(or not), neither is a forum. Subaru sells over 100,000 Outbacks a year. How many people have gotten in a forum to complain? I don't care if we are the 10th to hear about a "problem", but you are making it sound as if this is a continuing problem. Well, it's been 4 model years and if it were TRUELY a problem, we would have heard about it by now. Has there been any TSBs since that first one? There isn't a reliability issue. What you are referring to is "quality" issues. Even if it were to become a reliability issue, Subaru took care of it before it got that far. Your statement about the RAV4 is not a reliability issue. It's a "I don't like how it works". I am sure it is a reliable system. Bad comparo.

I don't know if this was posted anywhere here in the 95 pages, but I thought this was a pretty good wrap up of the new forester and when you compare it to some similar vehicles per say...

Local dealer has had a sage green xt for so long

They finally got a few red xt tourings. Under invoice, with 0% for 63 months is hard to argue with. $28k gets you either a '13XT Touring at 0% or a '14XT Premium at closer to 2.9%.

That would be a tough call for those considering.

I was just at the local dealership and the sales guy said they're getting THREE '14 Foresters in tomorrow! Two turbos and a 2.5i Limited. Maybe I'll go down and check them out, but he said they're already sold and I'm not sure I can get to the dealer on time

I'm in southern Rhode Island. Valenti Subaru is the dealer! I'll swing by tomorrow after work just in case the Foresters are still on the lot and I'll snap some pics if I can!

Someone who drives from New Jersey to New England would obviously be desperate enough if it involves the Subaru Forester. It's Subaru's best CUV.

That's good news - a week ago my dealer was still thinking beginning of April. I better get my deposit made!

I stopped in at Valenti again today - the Foresters were still at port, but I was told they would be in tomorrow morning! It's not too far from work, so I'll stop in again tomorrow, but I am busy tomorrow night so expect pics either late Friday night or Saturday morning

Don't all Foresters come in on West Coast? Either way I'm still being told mid to end of March.

SOA has a port on the east coast as well. Plus Subaru New England has their own.

I'm on a "call" list for about 4 of the subaru dealerships here in socal... =( They have told me the target arrival date is march 10th however in their 7 years working with subaru, the dealer lady told me the new models have always arrived earlier than the target date. My wife and I are planning on getting one. I'll post some pics ASAP once I go as well as update some pricing.

Our first 2 have been released to the trucking company and are due on the 8th. I hope they come sooner. The other 12 are due 4 days later. I hate seeing that "released" status for too long. Bugs me that they just don't put them on a truck and send it. It is just sitting there. We have lost sales because of those delays before.

Cool, that gives me hope mine will arrive sooner. I jumped the gun and sold my car too soon so now I'm carless until my new Forester arrives.

Why not just check out the port of entry for New England Subarus at Davisville, RI? Bring your telephoto lens.

A few dealerships on both the coasts have them now if anyone is looking to test drive this weekend.

Google Maps
Too lazy to make the drive Plus I wouldn't be able to really get up close and personal with the car.

But I did go to Valenti today again - no Foresters They were already closed so I didn't get to ask what the hold up was, but judging by some other posts in this thread, the Foresters are starting to arrive elsewhere!
