Default Lost valet key-can it start the car after remotes keys are reprogrammed?

Hi ---

Lost the valet key for my 2013 Impreza. The dealer re-programmed the remaining remote keys.

Question: could the valet key start the car now?

The dealer service dept. says no, SoA says yes.

--- thanks!

Each key contains a transponder ID code that must match the immobilizer system's receiver. If the remaining keys were reprogramed with a new code to work, then the lost key shouldn't work anymore.

Hope that's correct, that's what the dealer told me, too.

Subaru of America says the opposite: "...the dealer would have to replace your ignition switch, all keys, the instrument cluster, and the BIU module. You cannot change the programming of the master keys to exclude the valet key."
