I'm heavily leaning towards doing my entire car. I think I'm going to do my roof first, then maybe take off my spoiler and do my trunk then the rest of the car. Just to get some practice in.

Anyone got any side by side pictures of matte black vs. matte clear?

Any tips for success on something like that?
Was super easy, the peeling would have been difficult had I not cut it with a razor. I might go a little heavier and peel off while still a bit wet next time.

Touch ups are easy, I just keep a can of white in the car lol. Overnight, one layer, looks like new on any that peeled off (mostly due to snow around here)

The smoke makes good window shades/blockers. Used it on my garage doors so that people can't just look inside, and it still lets light in since I didn't go thick. Also useful to stop your dog from looking out glass doors for squirrels.

Hoping to get some more pictures soon, and better pictures. The only pics I have right now, are with my iPhone. The matte doesn't really photo well with a phone. And I didn't use cans....that would be a nightmare. I used about a gallon and half of dip, using the spray gun that comes with the kit from DipYourCar.

A warning to those considering the matte clear....it is a monumental PITA to get right, but I think it looks the best. Gives more of a satin look, rather than just matte.

I did that to my alternator cover. Matches perfectly. 3 coats of white and 3 coats of pearlizer.

Haven't had any issues, just make sure to re-wax. I wouldn't leave it on for long, obviously.
