If you put on enough costs its peels off easily. The dude who said you had to scrape it off must have put like a gallon on his entire car

The more coats you put, the easier it is to remove.

So last night I dipped the hood scoop, door handles and side mirrors. I had alot of over spray on everything. I used some fastwax that I had sitting around and it wiped all the fast wax up in seconds. So it may be a option for some of you guys out there.

4 should be enough. I also noticed that when doing this make sure the hood has cooled down. Don't do it right after you turn off the car. Let it cool. Otherwise it dries almost too quick and has a rougher texture.

Can't really see it but I did the scoops a while back. Came out nice and smooth. Put about 3-4 coats. And like the others said, it's easier to take off with about 4-5 coats since it's thicker and can all be peeled off at once.

I plasti-dipped all of my rims, my gas cap, and my roof. The roof did not turn out so good. I think its just too big of a surface to get it even.

Saw this on the DYC forums and hadn't seen it in here. I would love to do this to my 04, just need to smuggle some gallons into CA

Again, this is not my car. I cannot take credit for this. Whoever did it did an AMAZING job (especially in that tiny little one car garage hahaha)

Before in stock color

After 5 coats matte white

After 3 coats satin white pearl mixture

You know I had to photoshoot it

Thanks for looking. Questions and comments are welcome.

Thanks man! I've been trying different colors to see what I like before I go for some real wheels. I'm happy with the blue, but still not perfect yet.

Here's blaze orange:

Here is another bad case brought to attention: http://www.rs25.com/forums/f138/t195...ite-paint.html

I am really curious as to what factors were different since everyone is DIY'ing themselves.

Does anyone know how close to the stock gunmetal color of the 06 WRX wheels is to the plastidip gunmetal? Also, should I use the glossifier spray to retain a stock look? Just using the plastidip to cover up some curb rash and make the wheels look new again.
