No. Those unfortunately were knockoff drag wheels. Although I have to say the quality was better than expected. Hit some pretty deep potholes and never bent them.

interesting.

mine are knockoffs as well... but they came with the tires. Narrowest bolts i have ever used, came with a custom socket extension to get them in. They were in rough visual shape due to oxidation and flaking, but the plasti-dip can at least help for the 5+ ft away. up close... these wheels look FCKD.

So lets say I dipped my whole car. With winter right around the corner by the end of winter would I have to be worried about it not peeling off due to the cold??? Or if I heat it up will it just peel off normally?

It would have to get pretty damn cold to change the molecular structure of the dip. Being rubber based it is fairly temperature resistant.

As quoted from the performix website.

" Plasti Dip remains flexible and stretchy over time, and will not crack or become brittle in extreme weather conditions. It has been tested and proven in temperatures from -30F to 200F."

So depending on how bad your winter is, you should be ok.

Love what you have done to the brat. And I vote pink (in honor of breast cancer awareness month) for the dog.

It's the camo green plastidip. Bad lighting in that one pic.

Thank you. I can hear the wife now. "WHY IS SUE-BEE PINK!!"

I be all like "you can just peel it off"

I still have to finish the bumpers, wheels, and a few other trim pieces.

We did the Scoobies for Boobies fundraiser backroad run this past Sunday on honor of breast cancer awareness month.

Anyone ever try plasti-dipping the outside of their brake lights? I was thinking of blacking them out with maybe two or three coats. I'm wondering how they'll turn out!

Sounds like you want to get rear ended? I never taped my tail lights. After plastidipping, 3-4 coats, you could barley see the light. I peeled it right off before driving...to avoid getting...rear ended.

I'm glad you told me this! I'm going to dip my roof and emblems and rims anyway so if I have some left I'll do one light with one, maybe two coats. If I hate it I'll peel it off before starting the next light... But good to know!

I guess you could do a light coat, and check the lighting, and go from there. If you don't like it, give coat 3 and 4, and it will peel much easier.

Are you sure you don't want to get rear ended? I don't really recommend any coats. There's a thread on here for tinting your tails with a plethora of spray tints ...troll the waters, and by that I mean search for it.

Rex is correct. I would not suggest plasti dipping your lights. That's just like removing the bulbs in it. There are other options in tinting or coloring your lights. Get some overlays.

How would everyone recommend going about dipping my whole 04 sportwagon? I was planning on picking up a few bottles of the 11oz spray cans today to do my roof and emblems. Say in a couple weeks I plan to plastidip my whole car... Should I buy by the gallon (more specifically how many gallons?) and will it blend in with my already dipped roof? I'm thinking flat black, if that makes any difference at all.

For just your roof/emblems, I would think 4-6 cans should do it.

If you get it by the gallon, you will need a sprayer and air compressor. This is the most time/cost effective way to dip.

If you have to go cans, it will take 3-4 cases(36-48 cans) to do the whole car, if I remember correctly.

Read this whole thread, and visit https://www.dipyourcar.com/home.php?...Fc2d4Aod_nsAIQ
Watch some videos on you tube and decide if you can do it yourself. Doing your roof now, and the rest of the car later should be fine. If it don't match well enough, peel the roof and redo. Perhaps your high school has a vocational school area with a body shop. Perhaps if you present this properly, as an up and coming way to temporarily paint cars, yours can be the test subject.

I used 2.5 gallons camo green and a Wagner Power painter to do mine. all the black was with spray can.

Post some pics as you go, and good luck.
