The only codes I got were the codes you had before you left. Also when I disconnected the battery the codes never showed up again.

Hmmmm. I had forgotten about those CEL's. It was a day before I left too. Dang. Anyway, I linked this thread onto the North Florida Suby Group. People may ask some questions as I don't know all of the details pertaining to how the car is currently acting, noises, etc. It was time for a 20G anyway. I want to figure out what caused that turbo to fail so that I dont waste 1000+ to wreck another snail. Once again man, thank you for your help.

Is that what I get for trying to get a faster car than you? Haha.

Description:
Like I said before, the car had oil. I checked the transmission oil to because if your wife's description, but honestly that has nothing to do with it. The CELs that were showing up were the p0011 and p0021. I think those were the codes. But last time I checked it had to so with the AVCS. I tried to clear them on your AP, but really couldn't figure it out. I don't know if you have to plug the green plugs under the car the dash to do so. So I just did it old school and reset the CELs. The CELs did clear and for the 10-15 minutes I had the car running nothing came back. For now I guess. So come test drive time, i drove it easy. I have it a little kick and no go on boost. It stayed at "0" or slightly below. Gave it one more try in 2nd gear went wide open throttle and nothing. Immediately turned around to investigate the turbo. I checked your vacuum lines near the turbo and intake manifold. Everything seemed okay. I would recommend a few clamps but other than that...it looked fine. On to the turbo. As I look around I seem smoke coming from underneath the heat shield. If I had time I would have let the car cool off and pull the shield off. Just to hot and I had to go to work. I already know about your valve cover gasket. It wasn't that. But other than that, that was all I noticed. My opinion(and I'm not a tech or mechanic) the the indications point me to a bad turbo. Or possible bad wastegate actuator. Possibly stuck open or something. I really don't know. If anyone can help out? It would be greatly appreciated.

Bottom Line: Car want boost. If it was the stock boost controller I know the wastegate should be roughly preloaded to lower psi. I've can my car on just wastegate before. I've run 7psi on the wastegate. That's on a TD04.

Help! Thanks! I do plan on working on it in the near just to check the wastegate and check a few more things. Possibly pull the turbo inlet off to check the turbo by spinning it.

Hey bro, I linked this onto the group on Wastebook. I just updated the post so hopefully someone will chime in with some advice. One dude said to do a hard reset on the car. Remove power from the battery and hold the brake pedal until the lights no longer light up to drain all of the power from the car. Then reconnect and see what happens. Dude said it could be an electrical issue. I personally doubt that but we can at least eliminate that possibility. Also, to use the AP you simply plug the AP into the OBD2 port under the steering wheel with the cable. Hopefully it is in the center console where I left it. There is no need to connect the green wires or anything like that. Thumb around the AP to find what you need to. It is pretty easy to navigate. Thanks again man.
