which sway bars fit the '12-'13 imprezas?

more specifically will the Impreza STi Sway Bar Rear 2010-2012 19mm fit?

Nice. Does it make a difference?

nevermind. found some threads on it. apparently makes enough of a difference in understeer and cornering to make it worth it.

Since someone asked, there are urethane mudflats that are 1/3 the cost of Rally Armor.

I just ordered a set of the 'simplified' (more my style, the original look a bit oversized)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/321026873742...84.m1497.l2649

www.Flapatax.com or search for flapatax on ebay when the above link is dead.

They sell two styles, pictured below, both styles are on ebay or their site, along with full mounting hardware and instructions.

This is cross posted from a different thread, but I see people are discussing them here. I almost pulled the plug on the Rally Armors, but these look pretty much the same, stiff urethane, and 1/3 the price. Nice reviews on the internet from other subaru owners, if that matters to you.

Is the block heater worth it?
At the dealer, with installation and taxes, it would cost me around 300$

I think the answer to that question might depend on where you live. I live in western NY, and don't think it gets cold enough here to justify block heaters/battery heaters/etc. I've never had one on any car I've owned, and don't plan on starting now.

I expect many of our Canadian forum members would say it's a necessity.

The bolded sentence also applies to us Canadians.

I live in Vancouver. Unless you're the kind that feels ultra-protective of your car, it's not necessary for a block heater or battery heater here. Go about 1-2 hours into the interior, and it's probably a bit more justified towards getting such accessories.

I found it for 88 online plus a few gaskets and some extra coolant just in case I came in at under 140 installed in my garage

I think it is worth it, car warms up much faster, under 1 mile at 10f

I live in Ontario and this morning the temp is a blistering -15 C without windshield. Yeah in most part of Canada you do need a blockheater. Quite often new cars come with the bh already installed but this subbie didn't. Can't remember what the dealer charged me.

Temperature starts to level off after about 2 hours.

Did that hold true for any outside temp?

Mostly. The block heater gets the engine X degrees warmer than ambient. The temperature difference between running the heater overnight and running it for the two hours before you take off is small. The rest is wasted energy.

I have been running mine for 3 hours.

The only thing I don't like about the block heater is that the car will start, then the rpm well bounce a bit and then idle high(but not as high) must be because of all the emission stuff is not to temp?

It might have to do with some areas of the engine being warmer than others when you first crank it. On mine, temperature readings fluctuate a bit as the water pump starts running, then the engine calms down after about 30 seconds. I don't think it's cause for concern.

So Im looking at adding the following (just got an 11 impreza outback this week):

oem bug/hood guard/deflector
flapatax mud flaps
tint windows

then:

window vent deflectors
seat covers
weathertec mats to replace my sub weather maps

Then hopefully in a few months Ill have some cash saved up for the sub.
