Ok, I searched the archives, and RTFM, and no dice, can anyone tell me how to adjust the spray of my passenger washer spray, which shoots onto the roof?
This is my first subaru--maybe this should go in the WRX forum, but I thought it might be the same across the models. It is different from my last car, which I did know how to set. I appreciate any help, and TIA. all4wheels |

Try to move the "ball" sprayer inside its housing on the hood. Just push the Ball down to get the spray on the windscreen. I have used a tooth pick for this in the past with good results.

It depends on which type of spray nozzel you have. I haven't seen the WRX's so I can't say. If you have a fan spray like the RS you can't adjust it, it's fixed. However if you have 2 streams coming out of one nozzle like my Legacy OB then it can be adjusted. It's sort of like an eye socket deal. Use a pin in the hole and you can aim the stream. It takes a bit of doing just a little movement makes a big difference.

I think our fan-spray RS ones just get clogged sometimes. Mine was doing some strange water-dance but after i washed it CAREFULLY with soapy water it returned to normal. You might try a soft toothbrush or something to get in there.

My OBS has the twin strean adjustable ball/socket type. They have worked fine for five years, easy to clean and aim. Now I have to look forward to a step backward with my WRX?
Why did Subaru change this? |

yeah, it's the fan spray, and the driver's side is fine, but the passenger side misses. I got hit with some bird @#$! square in the middle of the passenger side, and cannot clean it off because not enough of the spray even hits the windshield.
So the fans are non-adjustable? |
