Default How often do you use cruise control?

Use it everywhere. Obviously on the highway, but I also use it in the city. In 3rd and 4th gear and upside down! . My GF refuses to use it, even on the highway. I have tried to get her to use it but she says she doesn't trust it (in a nutshell). Are there others who are skeptical about using it?

Seldom use it unless I'm on a long trip, and then only on major interstates.

Doen't work at 25 MPH in a school zone. NO joke. One place next to a high school where I'd like it to. Allmost no kids crossing the street. Just a ticket trap.

As a kid I rode my bike to the pool there and 99w was much more scarry.

Primitive is down the block and around the corner. Surgeline/Cobb isn't that far away.

Very rarely, if ever in my Subaru. Besides, I see worse fuel economy using cruise control... o_O

Never ..... because mine is european so it doesn't have any.

Really hate the fact i don't have one. It would help to keep me from speeding on long straights/highway's.

I looked into installing a cruise stalk from the US ... turns out it is virtually impossible to do (you can't just install the stalk and have CC, loads of other **** is different including the ecu)

Depends on the rain. You get swamped. Out here we get a constant drizzel. After the roads get washed off it is no big deal using cc on the highway.

I only use it for "driving breaks" on long trips. Not using it helps me concentrate and it can't adjust throttle to compensate for hilly terrain very well.

Never. Even if I did have it I wouldn't ever use it. It feels like you're so out of control with it turned on.

Has anyone checked to see if cruise control works when going over 25 mph in reverse?

I use it in a few surrounding counties that are "ticket happy". Occasionaly on trips. I could live without it. On the other hand, I only care about gas mileage as an indicator of how my engine is running. RP

I use it on the highway only, my leg cramps up if I don't constantly move it and on the highway that makes you look retarded.

I use it constantly. I certainly don't think ill of anyone here, who doesn't use it.

The reason I use it though is that I hate passing people, and then having them re-pass me (or vice versa). I have a target speed on the high way at 7 above the limit, and I hate wondering if I'm the crazy person who is randomly changing speed. At least with cruise control, I know that it's the OTHER people who are having foot cramps and random changes of their world view.

Mine shuts off randomly on the highway after I've been using it for a while.

It's the hydroplaning that'll get you.

and i never understood the "don't use it in the rain!". i always do! 75mph no issues. i mean maybe if you have bad tires?

Ahahaha, ESPECIALLY when people don't use it on hills. It's kind of funny. The cruise control will maintain the speed up the hills so I think it's more of a constant and consistent ride.
