Default 400 Whp bugeye help/opinions needed

Hey Guys, I've had my bugeye now for 3 years and absolutely love it . But its to the point now where it needs some paint and more power . I'm doing the car over too to bottom. My goal is 400 whp with a 6-speed swap. I've done lots of reading and people's opinions and builds are all over the place. I'm not green to the car scene but I'm not a master mechanic either . I have a flexible budget and time. I am in canada and have no emissions laws to worry about. I'm wondering wether my best bet is it build the ej20 I have and put a 04 sti 6 speed swap in or to also put a ej25 in it . I'm looking to build top to bottom. Take the time and do it right . Just looking for opinions and which engine to go with and which route would be my best keeping in mind I have no interst in building a sti or any other car like some people have suggested to many others. All help would be greatly appreciated
