You have to paint the autometer one, I bought it because of fitment and angle issues with the lotek one. It comes in black though and the stock pillar is kinda grey.

I just went to a local automotive paint store and brought in the stock A pilliar. Went through the different shades of grey and found one that mached up.

Unfourtunatly I don't remember the exact color. Sorry about that.

I think the color for the stock piller is Primer grey, not real sure. You might be able to pull something up with a search.

I used Plasti-kote Anti Rust Enamel. Color is 364 Dove Gray. Color match is quite good, you can't tell it's different from the original unless you have them side by side. Make sure to sand the pod with fine sand paper, and apply the spray in several light coats.

sem makes interior dye/apint that is perfect for that project. they have a light grey that is maybe a shade from perfect, and it would be easy enough to just pull the other off and spray it at the same time.

this stuff is made for the interior, it sticks to plastic and vinyl like a mo-fo, and it will dye carpet as well. this stuff also reisits scratching and doesn't chip like an auto paint would. it's $8 bucks a can but well worth it. i wouldn't use anything but sem paint on interior parts.

Tobey, where would I get the sem paint??? BTW I live in GA.
I went to wal-mart, home depot, lowes, michaels, and advance auto parts for the plasti kote stuff. Advance was the only one that carried plasti-kote, but no dice on the color.

I recently got some SEM paint for my lo-tek a pillar pod. The color you'll need is "Warm Grey." What you'll have to do is log onto their Website and then find the local represenatative and he/or she will give you local stores that will carry the SEM brand paint. My local store didn't have it in, so I had to wait about a week for them to get it in. It cost around $10 or so. It's a really close match. Hope that helps.

Default SEM paint

Ok so all you really need to do is call a local body shop and ask them where they get their paint and supplies from. That is how I found my SEM paint in the past. Also get some of the SEM primer to paint it first of it will knick and peel off.

good luck.

Rusty

Steve - got some good news for you sir Here's the person you need to contact for the state of Georgia:

Ira Herman in Acworth, GA (770) 974-2329 - he's the representative for SEM products for your area. Also, their Website is www.semproducts.com Sorry I didn't put that in my post. When I called him, it was an answering machine. Just leave a message and Ira will call you back. He called me back within minutes (weekday of course).

And lastly, here's a thread that helped me to get the paint. Similar to this thread, but it may offer you some more information.

Good Luck man!!!
