Good game today. It was great seeing a solid running game again! Ridley looked good and no fumbles. The defense also looked improved as well; we finally are getting some pressure on the QB.

What's everyone else thinking?

Ridley did great. Should be an interesting season, the rookies are looking pretty good. I kept thinking Bruschi when I saw 54 lol

I think this all depends on the offensive line. If they keep Brady upright then I think we'll be back in the Super Bowl this year.

Their schedule for this year isn't particularly tough so if they can keep it together and tighten up that passing game (looked sloppy as hell yesterday) then I think they have a real shot at the bowl again. But anyone can win in this game. I've seen plenty of upsets lol.

Lloyd needs to stay in stride. Other than that #63 looked like he should have been nailed for a couple of false starts that he got away with. (Forget who that is- his entire right side rotated before the snap on back to back plays). Jones is a beast.

That was Dan Connolly. The whole offensive line needs work, but at least dante scarnecchia is their coach. That guy knows his stuff.

Lloyd and Brady definitely have work to do.

Sunday was their first real time together as a group (never really together in the preseason).

And its only the beginning of a very long and hopefully promising year. It doesnt seem like there is much competition in the AFC. However Manning and the new found Broncos look like theyll make a good run. Looking forward to seeing how the Ravens play tonight on MNF!

The defensive line is looking much faster than last year. Jones is an animal. Ridley can definitely get to the outside better than BJGE could. Brady definitely fell into his rut of throwing at receivers feet, but seemed to recover pretty quickly. Welker didn't see much action...he's probably going to be covered real tight all season.

Promising start with a few mistakes, but the competition is definitely high this year.

they finally looked balanced for once. if they can run the ball effectively and have solid Play action the line wont have to block for 4-5 seconds like before when the running game did not exist. it was a classic patriots game, just how they won back in '04

Yeah that was a weak holding call on Gronk.

Which brings me to the real point...these refs suck. They need to learn the rules, call consistent penalties, and learn when you call something. I saw some terrible calls for both Arizona and NE today.

you know its a weak holding call when the defender is not even pissed of or looking for a flag, he simply turned and chased woodhead seemingly unbothered. we can criticize the refs all we want but they are only as good as their previous experience which is high level highschool and D3 football, its a different world when every player, coach, ball boy etc knows the rules inside and out and calls oyu out in front of 70K people

If Lloyd gets his act together and catches more often, I think we're set. A lot of dancing on the KR's though, deff be a benefit if they ran instead.

^ This. Also, the rules about what is and isn't reviewable are ****ing stupid. Between the uprights is, but above isn't? Even though every scoring play is supposed to be reviewed now? And of course pass interference, even though it could potentially be a 99 yard penalty, isn't reviewable.
