No point and please dont.

If its not true dual theres no reason. It would just look stupid.

CLIFF NOTES: save your money.

I had thought about this in the past but I came to the conclusion... what's the point? I wouldn't see any gains over running a 3.5" catless unless the pont was to run 2 high flow cats parallel to each other in a large diameter exaust to get a larger volume of air moving. But then I realized the exhaust is only part of the equation... exhausts are only as good as the volume of air that can be flowed in front of it in the combustion path. 1st off, the turbo can only flow so much air. Then the headers collecting into the UP would be a bigger bottle neck. Then you have to worry about how much air you can get through your heads. Then the plennum becomes a bottleneck. Then the intake.

Now you have to figure out how to run the pipes. The under carriage wasn't designed to support duel exhaust pipes with the added gaps and hangers needed. You'll wind up destroying you ground clearance and bottom out everywhere.

Then you need to modify your bumper for the additional exiting exhaust tip.

Do you see where I'm going with this. All of this equates to the ends not justifying the means.

a while ago I seen a thread asking the same thing you are. I think a few pics from other people doing that popped up. I thought it looked horrible and you wouldn't really see any gains try searching and you might find something.

Have seen one on here before and as stated basically a waste of money. No gains and looks are subjective (I don't like it, like almost everyone else). If you want to do it knock yourself out as it is your car and really doesn't affect me.

both heads need to go to one spot first anyway (the turbo) so making a dual exhaust would be pointless

If you had twin turbos (non-sequential) then it might be worth trying to keep them from fighting each other for exhaust stream.

It would be for looks of course. We were just bored and thought this up. Probably wont do it, I just wanted to see if someone has before.

why are ppl bashing the idea of having a dual exhaust not cool or "If its not true dual theres no reason. It would just look stupid."

there are plenty of cars out there that isnt a "true dual" just take the legacy for example. its just a y pipe that does into 2 mufflers. same with the audis and a handful of other cars out there just to look cool.

IT's hard to tuck both of the tips underneath the WRX bumper and still look clean. Some cars were meant for the single tip (shorter cars), other cars need a dualie (long laid out cars).

TRTrex had/has one on his ride. But it was totally custom done. Didn't look like that one from Nevada. It was loud though...

If I find some pics I'll post em up.

I think that looks really sharp. Very clean. Not overwhelming. Sets it apart. Seems like an awful lot of people are against the dual exhaust set up. I think the dual set up looks really smooth on the Legacy GT's too. Just my opinion though.

I agree, that exhaust is very well done.

I saw a tool in a red Civic the other night with a dual exhaust. Now THAT looked silly. One side was covered in soot, and the other side was fairly clean.

Anyone know who belongs to this car? I want to know what mufflers they used. Thanks. That looks sick. I have to admit it does set it apart. I wish I could find a sound clip too.

it loks like the borla xr-1 catback. i'd guess they chromed the mufflers and mirrored the piping. if there are 2 xr-1's on there, it probably sounds pretty cool.

3" pipe is good for enough flow for 800hp. You don't really need anything more. If you want to do it for aesthetic reasons, that's up to you.

I personally like it and I heard that black WRX online and it sounded really nice and mean . If you want to, go ahead and do it. It is your car after all. Isn't it about customizing?
