I like the 10'' model more than the nexus 7, I feel like the nexus 7 is just a bigger version of my phone, and there is nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't fit my ecosystem right now. Large storage central home computer, I will use the table at home to acess the library and watch movies in any room. and it will come in handy on road trips and flights. now is the extra 3 inches worth it? Don't know yet, gonna have to play to find out.

who knows, by the time I go shopping this could all change.

I'm ordering a Nexus 10 for sure. The wife is excited by the multiple user profiles and figures we will both get use out of it. 16gb or 32gb is the question now. Probably 32gb?

The extra 3 inches in your hand is so worth it.

$349 for the 16GB Nexus 4, I'm so happy. I thought we wouldn't get any news since the event was cancelled. NOVEMBER 13TH CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH.

So I just found Chrome Remote Desktop app. So damn cool! Login from work and setup my downloads. Now curious how to setup the ability to send myself files from home to work...anyone got ideas beside dropbox? Plex Server works great for media though.

Definitely getting the Nexus 10 over here as well. I'll probably wait a week or two for reviews though. I'm very curious about the battery life. My dad's iPad gets phenomenal battery life with moderate-heavy usage at a reasonable brightness (also with live pushed emails/notifications).

I currently have a 1st gen Kindle Fire with JB on it. It's great but battery life is sub-par and system and menus aren't snappy enough for my liking. The size is perfect for reading in bed, etc., but I'd like to try something bigger.

I've been eagerly waiting for Google to release the Nexus 10 since it was first rumored back in June. Now I'm eagerly waiting for November 13 so I can order it immediately. I don't need a stinking review, I just need to replace my TF101 with a Nexus 10 and some 4.2 amazingness.

I just hope there's some way to relocate the bottom buttons to be left justified, I already don't like the center justification for the back/home/app buttons

So I guess the no LTE rumors for the Nexus 4 are true, and I think I know why: because **** Verizon, that's why. After the way Verizon **** all over the Galaxy Nexus (e.g. NFC, slow updates, forced bloatware, etc.) I can't say I blame Google. Hopefully big red will learn something from this, but I doubt it.

The Verge put together a great video about the Nexus 4 & 10 and Android 4.2. This makes me A) really want a Nexus 4 & 10 and B), really want to work at Google.

I will definitely be ordering a N4 to replace my aging G2. $300 for the phone w/no contract and saving $40 a month with t-mobile's "bring your own device" plan means the phone will essentially be free after 8 months of use.

Damn. Well at least you have the insurance. That's what it's for.

Similar thing happened with my RAZR Maxx HD, but the snow broke the fall. Good thing it has that nano coating. One thing I will say about Motorola is they have some great build quality. My old RAZR fell out of my jacket pocket on a closed run at Big Sky. I got a call a week later from guest services saying they had my phone, and wanted to know where to send it. Worked perfectly. I was shocked not only that they found it, but that it survived a few days in some deep(er) snow.

They could have done LTE and just not offered the phone on Verizon.

The things that appeal to me about the 7 over the 10 is that it can fit in the center console of the car, and is easier to carry/hold and doesn't require constant zooming in to view webpage content whereas on a phone it would.

I get the feeling we're going to see another Nexus device in the spring. I'm actually somewhat glad (on a personal level) that the N4 isn't something that really makes want that phone.

Now that nexus 10 however..... Wonder what the pricing will be like.

alright guys, not sure if this is the best place for this but i trust you guys way more than i trust the Apple fanatics in the iphone thread and i know that most people here are actually a lot more sensible. anyway, as i stated before, i am in the market for a new phone since the S3 is not working out for me. i am out of contract but i have to stay with ATT since the company pays my bill. i have been an iPhone user since the original iPhone and switched to Android about a year and a half ago. i do think that both systems have pros/cons and to be honest, i have no loyalty to either one so i am open for whatever.

Since i am open to whatever, i decided to really take a hard look at all options and came up with the following:

Android:

Pros- Open system, tons of customization (great for people with OCD like myself), better tech, standardization, great dev support.
Cons- Inconsistent performance (some days battery last 2 days some it is gone by 2pm), not as stable as my old iphones, fragmentation, too big (i would prefer a smaller screen), lack of accessories.

Iphone:

Pros- reliable, stable, smooth, great resale value, great design, size, better apps, accessories, tighter quality control, better eco system (very personal but since my entire family is on iphones and my house has 3 apple TV's), better integration with my car.

Cons- its an Apple product and i hate Apple as a company, no customization, ancient OS, no dev support, expensive, new connector means new cables and adapters, no NFC.

Lumia 920:

Pros- great design, new fresh OS, cool new tech like wireless charging, great integration with Windows 8, since it is Nokia, i can use it as a weapon if i have get attacked, perfect size.

Cons- new OS, lack of apps, risk if WP8 doesn't take off, lack of customization, its a MS OS so it will probably not be as stable as iOS.

so with all of the above said, which one would you go with? i really do prefer a smaller device and since i have my N7 to play with and i use that one most of the time when i am home, i am mainly looking for the better phone and not necessarily the best smart device.

You can get an Andriod phone that has about the same size screen as the iPhone. (e.g. HTC Droid Incredible)
