Question for you all: I am really tired of my thunderbolt, but am weary of upgrading my phone on contract since it looks like more and more new goodies are not coming big Vs way (Nexus 4, etc). I can upgrade in Dec, but I am thinking I would rather buy a used 4G phone and use it until my contract is fully up. So, which used phone would be a good choice for big V to hold me over until i can ditch them completely? I was thinking OG nexus, but I haven't heard good things about the LTE version.

Gah, I just received an N7 on Monday for my Bday from my wife. Now the N10 is coming. Should I return it, or keep it?

I think I have 15 days so I could theoretically keep it for another week or so.

i would return it just so you can buy the bigger 32gig 7 inch. as for the 7 vs. 10, i have no doubt that the 10 is better specs wise but i LOVE the size of the 7. once i got used to the form factor of the 7, it just feels right.

The new Nook HD from B&N seems to have some nice features in that area. You can set up multiple profiles, and limit their access to rated tv shows, books, etc. I'm not sure how tight the internet control is though.

That's really amazing about the Ethiopian kids.

In other news, I just got an email from an Ethiopian claiming he has untold riches, I just have to send him $100 to help him open a bank account in an offshore account, then he's going to share it all with me.

Think it's legit?

oh and not that anyone actually cares but here is the update to my S3 saga:

i talked to our IT admin and he talked to AT&T and they agreed to take care of the S3 for us. so what that means is that i am going back to my old iPhone for next few weeks and will then go for either the Nexus 4 or go through our company and get the HTC One X+.

So far I am happy with it as well. I think I am just getting in my own head, knowing the next new thing is only days away.

with Android, holding on for the next best thing is a sure way of making sure that you will never have a phone. the cycle is just way too short.

i thought about the lack of LTE too but to be honest, HSPA+ is fast enough for almost everything and with every freaking place in the world offering free wifi, its not that big of an issue to lose LTE. also, battery life should be a LOT better with no LTE so i am ok with that sacrifice.

I'm running the leaked 4.2 Camera and Gallery. The camera controls are a huge improvement. I only played with the sphere view thing a but but it seems cool.

Gallery apk? Does it sync with Picasa? That's one thing about AOKP (or whatever version of gapps I have) that drives me nuts.

read this first, might help you out:

http://forums.androidcentral.com/ver...-ota-info.html

edit: from what i understand after reading that article, some of the issues that people are seeing is with the tool itself and not the OTA update so you need to find the correct version of the unlock tool.

Been meaning to ask if there's any new ROM's out there worth running? I'm on CM7 since last year and its been stable enough for me to not even consider switching.
