Is it safe?
Hey I wanted to know if it was safe to run a 235 45 17 tire on a 17x9 +42 rim... On an 04 sti..
Will the rim stick out too far out?

Should be ok, just slightly taller and wider than stock.

Mild stretch but just pay more attention to your tire pressures and you'll be fine

If you are lowered you may have to roll the rear.

^^^ That is not a stretch by any means. 225/45 is a stretch but almost nothing. 235 is essentially square.
That setup may cause rubbing though thats quite a beefy setup even if it is on a +42 |
