my dad used to have a 1985 XJ12

thing was a beast. Could spin the tires going 80 and at 120 it was like riding a cloud.

In high school I borrowed it for a week while he was away. The computer at the end of the week said I averaged 8mpg.

Old Jags and Astons were/are the cats pajamas.

I'm hoping to see some goodness as well up at Road America this weekend.

I grew up in a family that loved Alfa Romeos and Fiats. I am well acquainted with the dark side.

The Group 44 cars are pretty trick for what they were. Bob Tulius was pretty much the only person doing anything with Jaguars in racing in North America in the early-mid 80's, and was quite successful.

TR4 I believe. I'm 90% sure Tulius never ran a Sunbeam Tiger, and I know he ran Triumphs in his early days.

It must have been highly modified or had slicks on it and you were in the rain.
