Make sure there aren't any dead hookers in the trunk...

...or bags with dried leaves and white powder.

Seriously though? Get it inspected, check maintenance history. 180k is almost 200k, and 200k = timing belt, pulleys, tensioner, along with every bloody fluid to be changed. Check if it has a head gasket job, or if it leaks. 2.5 N/As tend to blow HGs every 100 000 miles...

Mrs. TiC drives one. Great car! It has 170K on it.

At this point in time the valve covers will start to weep, the rear muffler flapper valve likely died, and the sunroofs may not operate. Trans may have the automatic left hand turn hard acceleration click. it's becoming more common on those trannies that accumulate high milage. despite this it should be find for quite some time. The fix could be one of three things in the tranny, but I have not had a chance to tear into it.

Despite this it has been a great car.

Belts and hoses do at normal interval. There's no timing belt as it uses a chain, and honestly will likely outlast the rest of the car.

other than that you'll have your normal wear items such as ball joints, tie rod ends, and struts.

I test drove it at lunch today...

I know the guy that's selling it, I trust him to try and rip me off any way possible.

The car is $4k and needs struts, balljoints, tires, tuneup... There's rust bubbles forming around the rear fender...

When I first started it, it had a really rough idle at 4-500 rpm, I tapped the gas and it ran fine at 1.2k...

It's the cheapest I've seen a running H6 around here though.

$4k seems a little much to me, especially with it's issues.
