Default Datalog Guru's 05 STI Problem

Hey all, to get right to the point I have a 05 sti tuned by JR at P & L Motorsports last year right before the car went into storage. Just took the car out and drove it for 250 miles and headed up to emissions I failed due to the evap and o2 monitors not being ready not a big deal so I decided to do some data logging. I'm having a hesitation at low load between 3-4K and hesitation at WOT arround 4K I'm not quite sure how to read the data logs and any info would be great. I'm thinking its a front o2 sensor going bad or a boost leak but I'm not not sure. I took 2 logs at WOT from 3-6800 RPM in 4th gear let me know what u tuning guru's think thanks.

UPDATE: Fixed the hesitation as the MAF scale was off causing the hesitation but still cant pass emissions as my EVAP and O2 are still not in ready mode no codes and no pending codes.

Please do not try to fit two problems into the same log.

Also, make your WOT pulls from 2500.

I'll look through the data some more and see if I can pick anything out.

Just trying to give you guys a good idea on whats going on with the car maybe the hesitation at low load has something to do with the hesitation at WOT? Info on the logs would be great

Did you remedy the issue with evap and 02 readiness? I have exactly the same problem...any ideas?

Nope I still have not been able to get those two monitors in ready mode and I'm 99.9% sure its a tuning related problem. I was stage 2 before with cobb stage 2 flash and passed emissions fine, ever since I got protuned I've been having these problems. I know for a fact that when you are tuned they turn the rear o2 sensor off so what you can try is having your tuner turn the o2 sensor back on. If your catless you should get a code and if you do get the code all you need to do is install some spark plug anti foulers or wire in an MIL eliminator. I just had my tuner do that the other day and I'm catless and drove the car a few times with no CEL yet and monitors still not in ready mode. It's been hell trying to get this figured out if you come across any info or a fix please let me know. Also if you dont mind me asking what are u using for you fuel setup, injectors, rails, pump?

Another reason why I know its tuning related is because there are no codes and no pending codes if there was a problem with the evap system you would get a CEL. gota be tuning related and I'm pissed trying to fix this. Do you have any codes or pending codes?

Why not reflash the OTS map then go do the emissions test? ( I understand this won't fix the problem with the tune, just for emissions purposes). Then maybe get it tuned again. How long has it been stored?

Wait, I think the OTS stg2 turns the P0420 off...will that pass emissions or not?

How do you know for a fact? I researched this not too long ago and I remember reading a post by Bill from Cobb saying that one can only disable the influence from the rear o2 sensor in the speed density strategy. If you can in fact do this please enlighten me. I was unable to locate anywhere in accesstuner pro that would allow me to do so.

To disable O2, I *believe* go to Edit -> Advanced Parameters -> Then uncheck P0420.

that doesnt disable the O2 sensor. It just removed the error report for removing the catalytic converter. The rear O2 is still used for a small percentage of your fueling adjustment.

By your logic, if you disable P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304 would stop the car from ever misfiring.

OP, Open up Accesstuner Race and hit CTRL+A

Select the Toggles (Base) tab and see if "Monitors Self Test (Diagnostic Purposes Only)" is checked. If ti is, uncheck it. If not, check it.

Car wont run right if at all, I havent tried that yet but i think I have too many things done to the car for a OTS STG2 map to work for me.
Car has only been stored over the winter months maybe 4 months max

All I know Is when I went back to my tuner for the 3rd time for this same problem and told them to turn that rear o2 sensor back on we got in a conversation and was told by him that when they tune they turn the rear o2 off because its no longer needed. I'm also catless which in theory with that sensor on I should throw a code but still have not?

I'll have to see if this is checked or not
