I'm sure its fun after 5k rpm, but I don't know if I could handle that much increase in boost onset over the factory twinscroll turbo. Though the size of a 20g isn't big and it's cheap compared to blouch's stock location ts option, it just seems like the 20g's old turbo technology is holding overall performance back.

when you start getting into bigger turbos, especially on 2L's, you just have to learn to drive/cruise at higher rpm than before, especially if you're out trying to street race people.
on my dom4xtr and gtx35 i wouldnt drive below 3500rpm if i was looking for action lol. |

I'm going to guess this chart was loaded as a 3rd gear into VD, but why not log it in 4th? Not enough room?

you dont have to guess its on the bottom right of the graph, yes it was 3rd gear.
I pretty much leave it up to the person if they want to do those pulls or not. Most people opt to not do them. Last edited by Phatron; 01-13-2013 at 12:20 AM. |

Is that the most boost that can be had out of that TS turbo Ron?
I forget that the stock block is open deck and cant take high boost... |

it's gotta be, it has all my exact mods. my next mod is going to be aluminum radiator and new hoses haha, then i need to get retuned for the grimmspeed 3port ebcs.

yes it is. i was just looking for something different to post up besides all the regular stuff. i havent started a thread on here in a long time. It gets too repetitive having the same conversations all the time. Its much easier to just post pics on facebook.
james, as far as the boost goes i limit stock MAP sensor cars to 21.5-22psi since the stock sensor can only read to ~23.5. So that leaves 1-2 psi of overboost leeway while still keeping the fuel cut active. if you target 23.25 and set the fuel cut at 23.5 its gonna be going off constantly, so you basically have to disable it if you run more than 22psi on a stock MAP sensor car. The older sensors dont read up to 27-28psi like your stock one. |
