Default Privacy Glass

The '13 Crosstrek comes with privacy glass. This may be a silly question, but is it possible to order/replace the windows on my 2012 Impreza Sport Limited with the privacy glass from the Crosstrek? Would it be a reasonable cost?

I've considered tinting, but would prefer the glass if possible.

reasonable cost!? tinting is about 125 -250. replacing all the glass/windows to privacy glass will be about 4 times that cost, well i can see it be alot more than 1200. just tint the windows. parts aren't even available for the xv yet

I personally prefer the look of some tints, they go along really with my DGM car.

Have a recommendation? I guess I just don't know enough about tinting and assume it's going to peel / bubble / fade. I have a Black / DGM two tone sport limited.

Have same car and tinted it locally for about $200. Looks sweet and is functional. Just be aware that there are local codes that restrict the amount of tint. Follow these and you will be "good to go". Also, make sure that the installation and material is warranted not to peel/bubble/fade.

avoid cheap tints like the plague, if you are getting tints for 100 or less run

Llumar is good and I guess 3M will serve you well too.

I agree, just get the windows tinted, it's cheaper and you still get a good result. It won't peel/bubble/fade if the job is well done and it's good quality tint. Also keep in mind what G-Omaha said.

Tints really improve the look of your car. So you should definitely go for it.
