I was considering winter tires however the road I live on can get quite nasty in the winter. Im not in Alaska but I do live in Vermont. If this winter was as much of a joke as last winter it might not be that bad however I'm sure its going to be a lot worse. That Toyota F-86 look sick with those tires but that has to be aftermarket suspention I would think. That thing looks like its got 8-10 inches of ground clearance! Im tall and have to just about fall into my BRZ to get into it. Im a bit concerned with the ground clearance and how well it will perform in the snow so I'm looking for a winter beater now. I've had a WRX and an SUV that did excellent in snow so this is a drastic change for me.

If you do your big meet all the way to the east coast, let me know. I'd be down

I think they are the Enkei Sport ES Tarmacs...

I couldn't find wheel specs anywhere on the cusco rallycar!

They do make a 15x7.5 5x100 wheel though... Picture:

Interesting. I've seen a picture of a naked shifter and know what he's talking about. Perhaps we can get KB to offer it as a part of his shifter....I don't want copolymer though.

No go on the reverse ring, guys. Chris says it's too flared, so it's not cost-effective.

It's supposed to be cold and sunny for a while, so I'm going to switch out the studded steelies for summer wheels, hopefully tonight. Tomorrow I should be getting tires that fit perfectly on the stock wheels. They're barely used General Altimax studded tires.

I'm looking into getting a real camera simply for shooting my car. It'll be a little bit before I buy one, maybe end of November or mid-January, but let me know what you guys recommend for used. I'm thinking Nikon (and let's assume I know NOTHING about cameras).

Thanks!

(Yes, I'll research on my own later. I'm just curious about the input of people that I'm more familiar with instead of reviews from strangers.)

since you know nothing, and dont plan on getting hardcore with it you DONT NEED A DSLR.

my suggestion for you is a sony nex-7 or if thats too much get the sony nex-5. it will be way more camera than you will ever need, it does things most entry level slr's can and maybe even better. the lenses are upgradable, and you can get adapters to use nikon or cannon lenses incase you ever outgrow it and get a full on SLR.

just read up on the sony NEX series, it and it will greatly change your mind about going with an SLR. i can almost bet on the fact that you'll change your mind.

if i had the money, i'd go buy a nex-7 right now and sell my nikon body, get an adapter for my lenses and be done with it. the only negative, is that aperture is now manual with adapters.

cliffnotes: get the ****ing sony nex-7, if thats too much get the sony nex-5
