LoL, Been modding the GTR, so i have been enjoying that more

got the 07 6 speed swap, been cleaning that up (trans and diff) and hoping to get the SB built in the next week or so, after that the Forester will be getting torn apart as i should have most of what i need, still getting parts in (almost everyday), but will be posting a update sometime soon

I feel your pain. It has taken a TON of devotion to pick away at my GN for the past 6 years. I initially tried to just part it out, but friends talked me into building it. In the end I think it will be worth it, but looking back I think the car was way to complicated to be really fun to work on. Plus the fact that I'm trying to reinvent the car. At this point it would have been much easier to just buy a '13 GT500, throw on a good tune, and be done with it.

I can't wait to start picking away at the LeSabre since it is so simple. Old school cars are much more theraputic to work on. One day I plan to build a rat rod using whatever parts I find laying around. Grass roots hotrodding is what is fun and I want to get back to that.

Stick with it man. Every car junky gets tired with their project but it's the ones that stick with it who have the cars everyone envy. I was ready to sell my car last month but now I'm motivated again and just started another build for it.

^^ THIS! Jay, your attention to detail is astounding, and this car could get the top scoob when finished, (as long as bad wagon doesnt submit for the most bad ass fozz). I was a bit green with envy after seeing everything that was powdercoated on ur garage floor. I hope to see you stick with it! (otherwise ill buy your kinugawa off you)

That transmission looks brand new. Better in person than even the pictures.

So i decided to put my SB together last night, Everything is balanced to .5 grams (crank, rods, pistons, flywheel, crank pulley)

Main Bearing Clearance = .0015
Rod Bearing Clearance = .0015
Piston to wall Clearance = .003

Measuring main clearances (didn't take pics when doing the rod clearance)

After setting our clearance, we marked what bearing belongs where

I got some pictures of the measuring process as well. It's a great learning experience. I recommend it to anyone looking to learn.
